The following information becomes part and parcel of Request for Qualifications (RFQ) #124-96-4-25
effective this date. Firms must acknowledge receipt of this addendum in their solicitation response.
The listed items add to, modify, or otherwise alter the specifications and become part of the solicitation
documents. Where a portion of the original specifications are added to, modified, or also altered, the
portion not so affected shall remain. Firms may have the right to protest this addendum.
Inquiries/ District Responses
Before the solicitation inquiry deadline of April 17th, 2024, the District received inquiries regarding this
solicitation. The District’s response to each question follows in bold font.
1. Item “f” in paragraph 13 of the Request for Proposal states that the GCS will provide the
Foodservice Consultant and will specify the kitchen equipment. Please clarify if the Foodservice
Consultant will be responsible for designing and specifying the kitchen equipment hood. This
design typically incorporates fire suppression, exhaust, and make-up air.
The Foodservice Consultant will not be responsible for the hood design. The Proposer’s
design team will provide a hood design that has been coordinated with the Foodservice
Consultant’s equipment layout.
2. Item 9 on page 5 of the RFQ indicates that a door and hardware consultant should be identified.
Is it acceptable to note that this would be TBD until a later stage of the project?
Door hardware consultant does not need to be named as part of the team within the written
RFQ response.
3. Just to confirm, is it correct that GCS prefers that we do not include a proposed foodservice
consultant?
Correct, do not include proposed consultant.
4. In the GCS Culinary Arts Center addition RFQ, question #14 asks for K-12 projects and #15
asks for projects other than schools. Could we include similar higher education projects in either
of the answers to those questions?

their written response.
