The following information becomes part and parcel of Invitation for Bid (BVB) #224-65-3-28 effective this
date. Firms must acknowledge receipt of this addendum in their solicitation response.
The listed items add to, modify, or otherwise alter the specifications and become part of the solicitation
documents. Where a portion of the original specifications are added to, modified, or also altered, the portion not
so affected shall remain. Firms may have the right to protest this addendum.
Inquiries/ District Responses
Before the solicitation inquiry deadline, the District received inquiries regarding this solicitation. The District’s
response to the questions follows in bold font.
General
1. Can you share why you are advertising this RFP at this time? What inspired this decision? – NOT
RELEVANT
2. When was the last time the SOW was bid? NOT RELEVANT
3. What is the current fee for the SOW? What has been the percent change in fee over the past 5 years? NOT
RELEVANT
4. Who is the current Broker of Record? KLT Risk Concepts, LLC
5. What claims platform does GCPS use? We utilize internal solutions as well as third party products
provided by our current insurance vendors.
6. Are you able to share a Schedule of Insurance (i.e. line of coverage, insurer, policy period, premium ?) The
District does not deem this information a necessity to complete a bid response, and therefore, will not
be provided. This information will be made available to the bidder awarded.
7. Is hard copy delivery the only method to participate in the bid? If not, please do share electronic delivery
options. – DEFINED IN BID
Service
8. What service improvements are you seeking from your broker partnership? We are happy with the service
we have received. We expect the same quality service in the future.
9. What type(s) of risk management and insurance consulting/advisory services is Greenville County
interested in receiving during the next 3-5 years? Please see scope of consulting services defined in
the RFP.
10. Section III. Marketing references “as needed.” Are marketing and placement of the existing
coverages included in the SOW? NO. Or, is that handled by a separate Broker? Contracted with a
different broker. Or, GCPS?
11. What are Greenville County’s top insurance and risk management strategic goals, objectives and priorities
for the next 3-5 years? GCSD has a continued goal of mitigating operational risks and safeguarding
our physical and human assets. We accomplish this and other goals with continuous planning,
communication, analysis and working closely with our partners to identify industry best practices.
12. Have you experienced any major claim events or challenges in claim handling in the last 5
years? No. Are you able to share insurer loss runs for 5-7 years, for the lines of coverage included
under this RFP? The District does not deem this information a necessity to complete a bid
response, and therefore, will not be provided.
13. What major capital construction projects are underway and/or planned during the next 3 years? What
is the estimated hard construction values for these capital projects and the anticipated project duration
for each? NOT RELEVANT.
All other terms and conditions remain unchanged and in force.
