Proposals for Runway Pavement Rehabilitation will be received by the City of Columbus, Mississippi at the Columbus-Lowndes County Airport (368 Fabritek Drive) until 10:00 a.m. (Central Time) on the 10th day of May 2024, at which time and place they will be publicly opened and read aloud. Proposals received after this time will not be accepted and will be returned unopened.

The work is generally described as follows:
Base Bid – Runway Pavement Rehabilitation – Asphalt Pavement Mill, HMA Overlay, and Pavement Markings
Additive Alternate No. 1 – Runway Asphalt Pavement Grooving

The Contract time is 45 consecutive calendar days for the Base Bid. An additional 15 consecutive calendar days will be added to the Contract time if awarded Additive Alternate No. 1. Liquidated damages in the amount of $500 will be assessed for each consecutive calendar day thereafter.

A pre-bid meeting is planned for this project on May 2, 2024, at 2:00 p.m. at the Columbus-Lowndes County Airport. It is strongly recommended that prospective bidders attend the pre-bid conference and perform a site visit. Site visits will be scheduled individually to limit large crowds.
