Grand County, Colorado (hereinafter referenced as “County”) is requesting proposals from qualified contractors (hereinafter referenced as “Contractor”) for the laying of four (4) inches of asphalt at the Byers Canyon Regional Law Enforcement Shooting Range.

Current Range Details:

- Current range is compacted dirt and rock on grade

- Area to be paved sq ft: Approximately 12,780 sq ft

- Project must be completed by June 1, 2024

Special Requirements:
General Requirements:
- Proposal shall include full cost of paving project and weather protection replacement of two (2) lifts of two (2) inches each of asphalt.
- Proposal shall include a detailed cost breakdown including materials and installation.
- Proposal shall include timeline in which work could realistically be completed by Contractor.
- Contractor will be responsible for preparing the project area for asphalt.
- Project must be completed in two lifts as patrol vehicles will be driven on the pad.
- Contractor shall provide a bid bond in the amount of 5% of the proposal.
Miscellaneous:
This RFP may be cancelled at any time without prior notice at the discretion of the Board of County Commissioners of Grand County.

Any or all proposals may be rejected in whole or in part, without liability, if determined to be in the best interest of Grand County.

Grand County reserves the right to request clarification of information submitted and to request additional information for any proposal.

Grand County seeks a qualified and experienced Contractor that will provide the best value and fit the needs of Grand County.

The successful Contractor will be required to enter into a Construction Contract with the Grand County Board of County Commissioners, sample included as an Attachment. The contract shall be for a period beginning approximately April 15, 2024 and ending no later than June 1, 2024.
