2024 Fairgrounds Perimeter Fencing Replacement Project at:
San Miguel County Fairgrounds & Regional Park, Norwood,

San Miguel County is requesting proposals and accepting sealed bids from experienced fencing
contractors to replace the perimeter and some cross fencing at this location: San Miguel County
Fairgrounds & Regional Park; and as described in the scope of work below. Sealed bids must be
received at: Fairgrounds Coordinators Office, San Miguel County Fairgrounds & Regional Park,
1165 Summit Street in Norwood or emailed to smcfairgrounds@sanmiguelcountyco.gov with
Subject Title: 2024 Fairgrounds Perimeter Fencing Replacement Project Bid by February 7, 2024
at 3:00 PM. Services shall begin as weather permits, and no later than March 18 after award &
upon execution of contract. The anticipated project completion date shall be April 22, 2024.
Pre-bid conference:
A mandatory pre-bid conference will be held by appointment with DeeAnna Burbridge,
Fairgrounds Coordinator (970-327-4321). It is the responsibility of the bidder to arrange for pre-
bid conference appointment. The appointments will be held during the week of January 10-
February 2 with a deadline of February 2. The purpose of this pre-bid conference will be to
discuss and clarify the scope of work. Bidders are required to attend and participate in the
pre-bid conference. Sealed bids will be opened and read by staff following the bid submission
deadline.Bidders will be subsequently notified after the successful bidder has been
determined.
Scope of work:
Work to be performed includes, but is not limited to, the following:
• removal and disposal/recycling of existing chain link fencing/materials as depicted in
Exhibit A.
• provide all labor, equipment, and materials as per specifications in Exhibit B; to
properly install new chain link perimeter fencing and cross fences as described in
Exhibit A.
• provide all labor, equipment, and materials to properly install or tie into existing
gate/s structures as described in Exhibit C – Gate Scope of Work.
San Miguel County is an Equal Opportunity Employer. San Miguel County reserves the right to
accept or reject any or all bids. Award of bid shall be based on price, experience, references
and ability to perform the work as determined by San Miguel County. Contracts are expected
to be awarded within 10 days of bid opening.
Agreement for Services:
The contractor shall review and execute the “Independent Contractor Agreement for Services”
contract prior to beginning work. This contract defines the project, the terms and services to be
performed. This is a legal-binding document between the contractor and San Miguel County.
The pertinent “Independent Contractor Agreement for Services” document is included in this
packet. References may be requested.
