Bid Addendum 1: 4/19/2024
The Torrington Board of Education would like to add an addendum to the TMS / Vogel Exit
Sign/Emergency Light Upgrade.
To: All RFQ Document holders that were present for the mandatory walkthrough on April 11,
2024
Addendum #1 April 19, 2024
The original Request for Quote documents are to be changed, added, or modified with this
addendum:
1. Remove emergency lighting from scope of work.
2. Change bid due date from April 23rd, 2024, at 11:00 a.m. to April 26, 2024, at 11:00 a.m.
3. Add alternate, separate pricing for Area of Refuge signs that meet all State and ADA
requirements.
4. Use the attached link to cut sheets for specifications only for proposed fixtures. Other
manufacturers of equal specification will be accepted.
5. Per fire Marshall office, acceptable replacements are a one-to-one or in-kind replacement
of existing exit lights per the building plans, with the exception of any current ADA
requirements.
(See attached link to the building plans (TMS Electrical, Vogel Electrical).
Bids will be due back to the address listed, sealed, and marked Exit
Sign/Emergency Light Upgrade to Torrington Middle School and
Vogel-Wetmore School, Torrington Administration Building, 355 Migeon Ave.,
Torrington, CT 06790, by April 26, 2024, at 11:00 a.m., at which time they will
be open and read aloud.
