INVITATION TO BID
Notice is hereby given that sealed bids by which
the Town of Woodbridge will contract for the
New Woodbridge Fire Department Garage
Phase 2 - Building
will be received in the Finance Director’s Office until 10:00 AM, Tuesday, December 12, 2023
as determined by the Finance Director’s clock. Bids will not be opened publicly. However, results
will be posted to the Town’s website by the close of business on Tuesday, December 12, 2023.
A NON-MANDATORY pre-bid meeting between prospective bidders and the Architect
will convene at the site of the New Woodbridge Fire Department Garage Phase 2 - Building
100 Center Road, Woodbridge, CT
on Wednesday, November 29, 2023 at 9:00 AM when project details will be discussed.
A bid bond for five percent (5%) of the base bid cost is required and must accompany each
proposal. Bids must be held firm for one hundred twenty (120) days beyond the bid opening date.
The successful bidder must file a one hundred percent (100%) Performance Bond,
a one hundred percent (100%) Labor & Materials Bond and a Certificate of Insurance
with the Finance Director within ten (10) days of notice of bid award.
Plans, Specifications, and Addenda for this project will only be available on the Town of
Woodbridge website at www.woodbridgect.org. Click on Town Departments, select
Purchasing then Current Bids to view or download the documents. Printed
specifications will not be offered for sale for this project.
A printed set of plans and specifications are available for review only in the Finance
Director’s Office, 11 Meeting House Lane, Woodbridge, CT 06525, on or after
Monday, November 13, 2023.
The Finance Director reserves the right to reject any or all bids, any part thereof, waive defects
in same, or accept any proposal deemed to be in the Town’s best interest.
Bidders’ attention is called to the requirement of Connecticut General Statute 4a-60g
(Set aside for small contractors and minority business enterprises).
This Contract is subject to State Set aside and Contract Compliance requirements.
