The purpose of this
Invitation for Bid
for the construction of
Westside Service Center (WSSC) Glove Lab and Administration Building (this
"Solicitation"), located at 6727 Broadway Avenue, Jacksonville,
Florida is to request bids for the construction of the new building that will
be located along the fence line on the southeast corner near building 6 as
described in this Solicitation  (the
"Work") and to determine the best method for JEA to procure the Work
with regards to pricing. The new facility will include administrative office
space, updated lab, and a larger conference room for staff meetings. It will
also require installation of metal stud and gypsum board partitions;
installation of Acoustic Ceiling Tile (ACT), grid, and light fixtures;
installation of Vinyl Composite Tile (VCT) flooring; electrical circuits and
outlets, fire sprinkler system and security badge access. The building will
allow for a larger conference room, breakroom and larger ADA compliant
restrooms. In addition, there will be new underground electrical service, water
service, sewer service, lift station & FM, fire main with building
standpipe. Demolition of the existing Building 5 will also be completed once
the new building is complete.
