========================================================================================
SFU has a requirement for the design, engineering and construction of a Hydrogen Hub.
Key goals of the project are to scale up hydrogen production and build connectivity in the value chain to provide pathways for regional supply and demand. The open-air facility will provide on-site clean hydrogen production and serve as an at-scale testbed to accelerate the production of hydrogen related technology and intellectual property (IP). SFU’s Hydrogen Hub will provide the groundwork for joint collaborations between industry and academia to de-risk innovative hydrogen technologies and support pilots in policy and regulation. By co-locating the supply and demand of hydrogen, the hub will support the growth of new markets and the transition to de-carbonized energy alternatives.
An ACAN is a public notice indicating to the supplier community that SFU intends to award a contract for goods, services, or construction to a pre-identified supplier, thereby allowing other suppliers to signal their interest in bidding, by submitting a statement of capabilities. If no supplier submits a Statement of Capabilities that meets the requirements set out in the ACAN, on or before the submission deadline stated in the ACAN, SFU may then proceed with the award to the pre-identified supplier. If other potential suppliers submit Statements of Capabilities during the posting period, and meet the requirements set out in this ACAN, SFU may proceed to a Request for Proposal process.
