The purpose of this Invitation to Bid (ITB) by the City of Harrisonburg, Virginia (City) is to solicit sealed bids from interested vendors (Bidder) to provide annual on-call drilling and blasting services.The Cityâs Department of Public Utilities (City) expects to need drilling and blasting for rock excavations for installation of water and sewer pipes. The work will include test drilling, drilling and blasting, and all other associated work involved; the City makes no guarantee of the amount of work that will be authorized under this contract. The City will provide the successful contractor with separate task orders as required, using EJCDC C-522 Contract for Construction of a Small Project, for work to be completed within the time period negotiated andwork agreed upon by both parties.
