The Dalton Parks and Recreation Department, a subdivision of the City of Dalton, Georgia, is currently seeking bids from all interested, licensed & permitted suppliers to provide the materials and operate its July 4th, 2024 celebration fireworks show.  To that end it is publishing this Request for Proposals. Proposals must be sent to the City of Dalton-Finance Department, 300 W. Waugh Street, Dalton, GA 30720, and marked “Dalton Parks- Fireworks RFP”.  All proposals must be received by Wednesday, January 3rd, 2024 at 2:00 PM.

The right to reject any or all Proposals or request additional information or clarification deemed necessary for evaluations reserved by the owner, City of Dalton, Dalton, Georgia.

The Dalton Parks and Recreation Department, a subdivision of the City of Dalton, Georgia, is currently seeking
bids from all interested, licensed & permitted suppliers to provide the materials and operate its July 4th, 2024
celebration fireworks show. To that end it is publishing this Request for Proposals.
Requirements of Proposals:
The budget of any proposal must not exceed $30,000.
A Copy of the Bidder’s license and permit must be attached to the bid to be considered.
All parties submitting bids must be on, and remain on, the City of Dalton Vendor list and provide proof
of all insurance coverages required by the City of Dalton Vendor application attached as Exhibit A.
The bid must detail an aerial fireworks show beginning at approximately 9:30 pm on Thursday, July 4th,
2024, lasting approximately 20 minutes, at a site to be determined by Dalton Parks and Recreation.
The details in the proposal should include the size and number of shells to be used in the aerial fireworks
show.
Minimum shell size of 3 inches to 7 inches. 2 inches and smaller shells will be considered as filler.
Include at least three references of completing similar shows. Please include reference contact
information.
The Proposer is responsible for supplying all of their own material for the show. The material cost
should be reflected in the proposed amount. The Proposer is advised that the Proposer is not entitled to
make use of the the City of Dalton’s tax-exempt status
The evaluation Criteria and Selection process will be as follows:
Responsiveness: The City will consider the materials submitted by the Proposer to determine whether
the Proposer is in compliance with the RFP. (10 points)
Show Content: Creativity, variety, content and length of the show. Review of the detailed show
description. Preview of show. (30 points)
Responsibility: The City will consider the qualifications submitted by the Proposer and other evidence it
may obtain to determine the company’s ability and history of successfully completing contracts of this
type, meeting projected deadlines and experience with similar shows. (20 points)
Cost of Services: (40 points)
