international van lines, inc., was founded in july 1958 by mr. jack smith. originally started as an independent moving company that only served the local area, international was soon purchased by robert mcewan in 1967. mr. mcewan moved to santa maria from oxnard, california where he helped his father operate mercury van & storage.
